Bees swarming – workshop at the Stara Cerkev Elementary school

As part of the Book Night on April 21, 2022, Anja and Barbara held a Bees Swarming workshop at the Stara Cerkev Elementary School. The students learned about the most important Gottscheer beekeeper Georg Juri Jonke, his beekeeping ideas, Kočevje forest honey and various interesting facts from the life of bees. In the practical part of the workshop, swarms of Carniolan honey bees (Apis mellifera carnica) were made, which will be exhibited in the school loby.
